To be enjoyed at 18°C to accompany red meat, roast poultry and mature cheese.
The wine comes in a lovely deep red colour.
The nose reveals predominant aromas of soft red fruit, strawberry and blackcurrant, with underlying nuances of violets and magnolia.
The fine, clean initial taste blossoms into soft, mouth-watering tannins mid-palate, in perfect harmony with the aromatic fruity bouquet of red fruit of this Sang et Or, leading to a long, fruity finish.
VINIFICATION AND MATURING
The grapes are hand-picked at their optimal ripeness.
CO2 maceration is used for the Syrah and Carignan grapes, with the fully ripe bunches being vatted whole, whereas the Grenache grapes are destemmed and macerated traditionally.
The alcoholic fermentation is conducted with strict temperature control for a very precise extraction of the aromas and tannins.
The malolactic fermentation and maturing are conducted in stainless steel vats for around 10 months to keep all the fruitiness and freshness of the grape varieties.
